Adult Services Coordinator

The City of Bridgeport Public Library is in search of a full-time Adult Services Coordinator. This position reports directly to the Library Director and performs a variety of professional duties. This position is
responsible for providing collaborative guidance for all sections of the library. It works collaboratively with coordinators, specialists, and librarians to oversee public desks and ensures that the department provides the best possible service for patrons, staff, and surrounding community including overseeing programs for adult and young adult division of the library.
Essential Job Functions:

Provides library services including passport services as needed
•
Designs and facilitates programs and displays in the division
•
Assists in evaluation and maintenance of the collection
•
Provides purchase suggestions
•
Assists in outreach programs
•
Promotes library services to the community
•
Maintains monthly program statistics
•
Performs marketing and promotional tasks
•
Oversees volunteers
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s degree
•
Experience in library operations preferred
•
Able to work a flexible schedule – including evenings and weekends – around library hours
